Alumni Giving

Since our first graduating class in 1999, the Southridge alumni community has grown to more than 1,500 strong. In seeking their passion, this remarkable group of individuals are making a difference in the world and we are so proud of everything they continue to achieve.

In speaking with our alumni over the years, they often acknowledge that the opportunity to attend Southridge changed the course of their lives; allowing them to develop their knowledge, confidence, and character, and achieve their full potential.

For some of them, the opportunity to attend Southridge was made possible through financial assistance.

Southridge was built on the desire to create a school of students with strong minds and good hearts. Since the day we opened our doors, financial assistance has been offered so that deserving, mission-aligned students and their families could join our community.

Funded through the generosity of donors, financial assistance makes a Southridge education a reality for over 25 students every year – students whose lives will be forever changed for having attended our school.

We are asking you – our alumni – to consider making the dream of attending your alma mater a reality for other deserving students. Through the creation of the Alumni Financial Assistance Fund, your support will be combined with that of your fellow grads to assist deserving students every year in perpetuity.

No gift is too small. It is your cumulative generosity that will change the life of a deserving young person.

What a remarkable way to make a difference in the world.

The Mann Family

Few Southridge parents can say that they knew Alan Brown. Rick Mann, alumnus of the Class of 2004 and current parent, joined Southridge as a Grade 7 student in 1999. Interviewed by Mr. Brown himself, he has vivid memories of the formidable yet relatable and down-to-earth founding Headmaster.

The Gill Family

Jaspreet 'Jas' Gill '02 is a proud Southridge alumnus, so it was not a surprise when he embraced the opportunity to re-join the Southridge community as a parent when his daughter started Kindergarten in 2016. For Jas and his wife Anneka, the sense of community, focus on character development, and outstanding education opportunities were all reasons they returned as parents. They were eager to embrace the opportunity to reconnect with the place that provided such a strong foundation during his youth.

For the O'Hare family, the desire to attend Southridge was more than just an academic decision. They were excited at the prospect of service opportunities and community initiatives that they felt could benefit their young daughter.

Joe Bird
Joe Bird was a young, enthusiastic student who thrived in school. He had high aspirations for his plans after graduation and had made his mind up about what he needed to do to achieve his goals. Joe was not attending Southridge, and it was not something he had even considered until his Grade 10 year.
