A Storied History: 25 Years of Southridge
Erin Labbé

If you’ve visited the Senior School since returning from winter break, you may have noticed the addition of our new Story Wall in the Alan Brown Great Hall.

In celebration of 25 Years of Southridge, the Story Wall highlights and honours the story of Southridge; from our humble beginnings, fueled by the passion, dedication, and foresight of our founders; to today, celebrating our 25-year commitment to the vision of a school that develops students with strong minds and good hearts who make a difference in the world.

Reading the Story Wall, you will learn about the creation of our Guiding Principles, our much-loved mascot Sal (do you know where Sal's name comes from?), the creation of our school song, how the House System has changed over the years, and many more interesting things!

While much has evolved at Southridge over the past 25 years, many things have stayed the same – like having no locks on our lockers, our commitment to community, and our mission of developing well-rounded students with a deep sense of personal integrity, who have the moral character, love of learning, and self-confidence to realize their full potential.

As we continue to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we invite all members of the Southridge community to visit the Alan Brown Great Hall in the Senior School and take a few minutes to read the Story Wall. We hope it leaves you feeling proud to be a part of the story and inspired to continue upholding our school’s legacy.
