Our annual Artbomb installation by the Art 11 class was installed a few weeks ago at the entrance of the Senior School. Students were asked to depict different versions of the theme "symbiosis" on flags in the spirit of the Tibetan tradition of sending good wishes through the wind:
"Traditionally, prayer flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom. The flags do not carry prayers to gods, which is a common misconception; rather, the Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown by the wind to spread the goodwill and compassion into all pervading space."
Our theme of symbiosis - essentially, how we are all different, but we need each other and benefit from a relationship of cooperation, interdependence, collaboration, working together, pulling together, acting jointly, etc. We are sending you our collective compassion, good wishes, and appreciation as you walk through the wind during these strange times.
