TREK 2017 - Teens Running for Every Kid

On Friday, June 1st, Senior School students will participate in Southridge's thirteenth annual TREK (Teens Running for Every Kid) by walking or running 5 kilometers in our neighbourhood. 100% of the funds raised from this event will go directly towards our sister school, Ankole Secondary School, in Ibanda, Uganda. Founded in May 2009 by a group of four teachers, Ankole Secondary operates as an independent "pay what you can" school, ensuring that all students in the Ibanda community have access to a quality education. Several students attended a service trip to the village this past Spring Break, and have shared the special memories and bonds created from this unforgettable experience at our last full school assembly.

Registration for the event will be open during lunch from Wednesday June 23rd to Thursday May 31st. To register, students must fill out a consent form, indicating their chosen method of payment - by account or by cash. Students will then receive a TREK t-shirt and raffle tickets for prizes at the end of this awesome event! This year you will also have the option to buy more raffle tickets for certain prizes, with the proceeds being donated to Ankole Secondary School too. Supervision in the library will be available for those unable to participate. Thank you in advance for your support!
